Squeezing in Some Last Jewelry Projects

Before we got lucky with the baby project, I started my business, Charmed Life Jewelry.  I am still doing a few projects for people here and there.  After all, hand-stamping jewelry doesn't require much physically.  So, it's been easy to do a few pieces, and I do enjoy it.
I finally finished two different necklaces and will be delivering them today.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Getting Rid of "Stuff"

It's been so hot here lately that there's not much you can do outside which resulting in the donation of 12 boxes/bags to Purple Heart.  It's amazing how much "stuff" you can accumulate that you don't need, use or want!  Carson says I am getting rid of our "stuff" so that we are prepared for all the babies' "stuff".  Probably true.
And, I've spent some more time in the studio doing custom jewelry projects.

Happy Wednesday!

Charmed Life Jewelry

So, it's decided. Charmed Life Jewelry is what I'm calling the hobby/business. I've been working on a couple of samples and a couple of projects for actual customers (!)
Single charm with monogram
3 pieces with monogram and 2 names
single piece with bauble

We made it through Monday!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

i. run. (well, I used to...)

The Polished Peacock. That's the most recent name that's sticking in my head for the jewelry hobby I have. Polished - something you do to metal. Peacock - something that's stylish and showy. The logo would be ah-mazing.
Whatever I name it, the idea is that the piece is supposed to be reflective of who you are.
i.run.
26.2 is unattainable right now. I've never done a marathon. I've never done a half marathon. The time at the gym these days is few and far between. Priorities change. I'm just a little short on time right now and after a long day of work, the last place I want to be is on a treadmill. I'll get back to it. I will. Maybe.
Happy Tuesday.

See Jane Sparkle

See Jane Sparkle...another name i've considered for the new business/hobby. I know it's a pretty decent idea and the reason i know this is because it's already taken.
Been busy working on samples. Thrown A LOT of material out due to mistakes. This is not as easy as it looks folks.

Want one for your very own? Send me an email! I'd be glad to make you a personalized creation.
More to come...

"Charmed, I'm Sure"

Two years ago, I went to the flea market looking for a dress form. I found a really great one and I purchased her. I used her as a display piece for my first booth in the Emerson Creek Fall Fest.
Then, she went to live at the Emerson Creek shop for the year. Happily, she donned the latest fashions in scarves and head accessories. When the shop closed, she came back to live with me and nestled into her spot in my craft room. Little did she know, I was planning an off-season comeback.
I have a new hobby. Well, it's a hobby right now. But, I'm hoping that it's the beginning of a little business (and so does my husband since the amount of money I've spent on product could be a car payment...).
Also, I really don't have enough on my plate already (insert sarcastic rolling of the eyes here...)
The title of this post is one of the names I've been kicking around for the business. Although I don't want to be creatively limited by what I choose for a name.
Without further ado, may I introduce Mae (although headless, I feel like I should name her at this point) showcasing one of my first creations:
TA-DA!
It is a personalized charm necklace. I don't really like the word, "charm" so much. But, I don't know what else to call what's hanging from the mini ball chain.
I actually made this as a gift for someone. The two-toned disc is her monogram (CPM) and then each small disc is the first initial of all her children. I also handmade the mini jeweled pendants that are dangling from the chain. I love the fact it can be worn with either silver or gold.

The best thing about it though, is that I love to make them. I am so satisfied by the fact that someone will wear this around their neck and close to their heart, not only because the nature of it, but also what it symbolizes. It's something very personal and that makes me happy.
Have a great Wednesday!
