The Booras-Griswald Tree is Up!

We had a great Thanksgiving. Lots of travel. Yesterday we spent the day rearranging furniture to accommodate our Griswald family Christmas tree. Most of our furnishings ended up in a spare bedroom. Yep, that's right. To make ROOM for the tree.
It has found its home in the Keeping Room and the lights are on. I will post a pic when I have all the ornaments on...I'm anticipating that's what I'll be doing tonight.
Here are some bloopers from our Pink Tuesday filming (incase you needed more confirmation that we have tons of fun at work!)

Have a great Monday!

Emerson Creek Pottery

My girlfriend owns a shop called Emerson Creek Pottery. She sells pottery that is made in Bedford, VA and also has a little tearoom where people can come and have lunch.
A few weeks ago, I was out there and took some pictures.
Enjoy!

Have a great Tuesday!

100th Post! & Trip to Galena, IL

It's my 100th POST! I can't believe it. I started this blog a while ago, but I never knew how long it would take me to get to this post. It has been a great way to keep tabs on my life. Thanks to all of you who read!
Last weekend, my mom and I took a trip to Galena, IL. Very cute town. Lots of shops and restaurants. Here are some pics. Enjoy!
Fabulous little bead shop. They have a ton of loose beads and very cool creations.

We stopped at a restaurant for lunch. Ah-mazing food. Mom posed in front of the wine cabinet.

We found lots of little trinkets to look at...

I tried on ATLEAST a dozen hats...apparently I have a child-size head. But, I liked this one the best. I think this was right before my mom said, "yeah, that's too big..."
It was super cute with a jeweled flower on the side.

And, we indulged in some coffee concoctions. Yum!

Have a great Sunday!

My Friend - My Pink Stamper

I was lucky enough to fall into a job where everyday, I get to create and do the things I LOVE to do. And, as events would have it, I got to meet Robyn, known to many in the craft world as My Pink Stamper.

We were having some fun with our *almost* matching cameras. She is a crazy, super funny person. She is truly an inspiration to me. She is a wife, mother, crafter, business woman, marathoner....and the list goes on and on. Robyn, I am so blessed to have met you.
Robyn was in town to film some projects with us at Custom Crops. Check it out on our YouTube Channel . It was tons of fun.
Today the high is going to be around 60 - For Mid-November, I'd say that's pretty darn good.
Enjoy your weekend!

A lot of catching up to do

Boy! Being out of the blogging loop for so long really does pile up stuff to post! This is what I have been working on lately. I made a really cool scarf out of chocolate and lime (the yarn above), but I was so "out of blogging" mode that I forgot to post a picture of the finished project...and, I've already given it away!
Lots and lots of posting to come...I've got a lot of catching up to do.
Create a great Wednesday!

I finally have my IMac back and I will be posting some pictures soon, so hold tight. Today I am off to Galena for some retail therapy.
It's November 8, and the high today is 70!
Crazy weather.

IMac still broken...

I picked up my Imac last week and used it for all of 1 HOUR! Then, it crashed again. So, back to the Apple store it went.
But, we were at O'Hare airport yesterday to pick up a craft celebrity that is visiting Chicago and we saw GENE SIMMONS! It was pretty crazy and he is freakishly taller than I expected.
So fun!
Have a great day!
