Refurbished Hutch & A Vacuum on the Fritz!

I was hard at work in my crop room this weekend. I was working on a few projects, but before I could work, I had to clean up. I know I'll just make a mess all over again. But, it was to the point where I couldn't move...and it was starting to look like I was soon to be featured on A&E's "Hoarders."
So, I started up the vacuum and luckily, just as I was finishing, the belt broke. Atleast that's what I think happened. I can't say I've ever seen a vacuum smoke like that. Someone burning rubber on a racetrack, yes. A vacuum, no.
Anywho - I moved my grandma's dining hutch into the room and started filling. It used to be brown and I painted it and changed the hardware. Pretty nice - don't look too closely though:

And, among other projects, it was Carson's grandma's birthday. So, I whipped up a quick card. The pictures aren't ideal - but by the time I finished it was dark already. Come on Spring!

Hope you are having a great Monday. I've been working on some other fun stuff. Stay tuned!

Oh WOW Nat, that hutch is gorgeous! Boy would I love something like that in this crappy room filled with plastic storage! Beautiful card, too. Very Springy! You still got snow? xxD

The hutch is gorgeous! I know from experience what you mean about not looking too closely, but as the Nester says, it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful. :) I'm just impressed that you took the time to do it. I've been contemplating painting our hutch, but the thought of the process keeps me from doing it!
