Card #15- Wishing You Sunshine

Card #15- Wishing You Sunshine

Another card creation using stamps from PaperTrey Ink.  I also used two different sized scalloped nestabilities to cut the circles and the paper is by Cosmo Cricket.  I embellished the detail on the umbrella with stickles.

Have a great Thursday!

Card #14 - Just A Note

Card #14 - Just A Note
The cardstock backing is an A2 Chartreuse card by Paper Source.  I cut the place for the sentiment from cardstock using a nestability and then inking around the edge.  The pattern paper is by Cosmo Cricket and then I embellished the design with turquoise stickles.  The edge of the green paper was cut using a Martha Stewart border punch.

Card #13 - You're The Best

Card #13 - You're The Best!
The sentiment is embossed on pearl paper courtesy of Paper Source.  The patterned papers are from a 6x6 stack by Authentique.  I buy most of my papers from A Cherry On Top.  They have a great selection of 6x6 pads as well at regular 12x12 papers and accessories.

Card #12 - Scalloped Thanks

Card #12 - Scalloped Thanks
Nestabilities are such a great tool when you are looking to jazz up a place to stamp your sentiment.  After I cut the shape, I stamped it and then stickled around the edge.  The paper is by Basic Grey.  The scalloped edge at the bottom was cut using a Martha Stewart punch.

Country Girl Cuff

Two posts in one day!  I know, it's crazy.  I made this a few weeks ago for a Christmas gift and just thought I'd post it.
It was loved by the recipient.

She's a big fan of Luke Bryan (as in, "country girl shake it for me," Luke Bryan).  So, I figured out another way to use my metal stamping materials.
Can't believe it's almost February.  On Thursday, the girls will be 12 weeks old!  Not quite sleeping through the night yet.  We're close though.
Hope you are all staying cozy and warm.

Card #10 - You Did It! - Simple

Card #10- You Did It! - Simple

Sometimes, simple is best.  And, when you are creating 30 cards, the simple and quick creations are welcomed.  The paper is by Cosmo Cricket (and, by the way, I buy 6x6 pads almost exclusively because you get most of the papers from the collection and the prints are smaller which is PERFECT for cardmaking!)
The circles were made with a punch and then I ran them through the baby x and adhered them to the card.  Then, I embellished them with stickles.

Card #8 - Cup of Tea

Card #8 - Cup of Tea
I can't seem to get away from using stamps by Paper Trey Ink.  They are wonderful, not only because they are economical, but also because they are CLEAR - which means you can see through them and they are easy to use.
The paper used is by Cosmo Cricket and the twine is from The Twinery.  They have a great Facebook page where they post new colors and specials all the time.

Card #7 - You're In My Thoughts
I adore Martha Stewart corner and border punches.  They add so much to any greeting.  The paper for this card is by Cosmo Cricket.

Card #6 - Violet Thank You

Card #6 - Violet Thank You
Violet is a color that is hard for me to use in greetings.  I don't know why, but I tend to stay away from it, but I love it here.  The paper is from My Mind's Eye and the sentiment is an embossed piece from Paper Source.

Card #3 - Hot Air Thank You

Card #3 - My favorite stamps come from Paper Trey Ink.  I just love their designs and how you can make so many different creations from one stamp set.  They are also very reasonably priced.

Back to blogging

The girls will be 10 weeks old tomorrow and I'm finally feeling like life is getting a little more manageable.  Last night, they slept from 7pm to 3am.  And then from 3:30am to 7am.  It was awesome.  I was anticipating being sleep deprived, but had no idea how challenging it would be.  Don't get me wrong, it was a welcome challenge, but a battle all the same.
So, time to get back to blogging.  It's amazing to me that I'm still getting about 50 visits a week - even in my non-posting status.  Thanks to you who have kept checking in to see what was going on - although I hadn't been posting all that much.  I can tell you what has been going on...a lot of eating, sleeping and pooping, and I'm sure you don't really need to see photos of any of that - especially the last thing.
But, I did manage to sneak some creative time in and make some Christmas gifts.  My MIL has a personal training business that she runs out of her home.  Because she has so many clients, there is always a need for cards.  Someone is always having a birthday, anniversary, needs congratulating for something...you get the idea.   I made her a stack of about 30 cards.  Here is the first of many...

Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful start to 2013!
