Today, I will be saying goodbye to my childhood home. It's moving day for my mom and dad. Yep, that's right. They are "movin' on up, to the eastside, to a deluxe appartment" - well, not exactly. It's a ranch style home that was built just a few years ago.
The house that I will be going to for the last time today was the one we moved into when I was 6! I was excited about kindergarten, and the new house with STAIRS and a swimming pool. There are many good memories that I will be leaving behind.
I'm going out there today to help with the moving truck and the loading of the furniture. I am going to take some pictures, which will be perfect for scrapping about "This Old House" -
Stay tuned!
Here is a quick birthday greeting that I pulled together using a yellow patterned October Afternoon paper, and black and white polka-dot K & Company paper, some American Crafts ribbon and a few birthday stamps.

Oh Nat, this post brought back memories. When we moved my Dad in with us I had to clean out the childhood house I'd lived in my whole life until I was married. Worse yet, it was to be demolished so the buyers could build a larger one on the lot. Very emotional, to say the least. Hope you don't get too choked up today. It might surprise you. Great card! The yellow is very festive. Enjoying your extra personal crafting time? Give me a call some time. xxD
